Program components:

  • Free membership to Cubs RBI summer league
  • Data-driven player development & performance training
  • Strength and conditioning
  • Specialized clinics (hitting, pitching, fielding)
  • Weekend tournaments (between 6-8)
  • Academic support
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Team building experiences

Cubs RBI All-Stars is a nine-month, comprehensive youth development program consisting of four teams comprised of players who participate in the summer league and tryout out for a position on an all-star team. Cubs RBI All-Stars provides participants access to high-quality instructors, an in-house league, academic support, civic engagement opportunities and team-building experiences. RBI All-Star teams also compete in local tournaments and travel to the RBI regional tournament to compete for the chance to participate in the RBI World Series.

September

  • Play on an in-house RBI Fall League team
  • Practice and/or play on the weekends

October

  • Conduct fitness evaluation with coaches
  • Complete Functional Movement Screening
  • Create personal goals

October-May

  • Participate in Cubs RBI Scholars academic offerings throughout the school year (academic enrichment classes, workshops and seminars)

November-February

  • Practice up to three times a week at various locations across Chicago.
  • Attend specialized skills clinics
  • Engage in community service projects (up to two total from Nov-Feb)

March-May

  • Participate in regular-season play with high school team

June-July

  • Workout once a week
  • Participate in 7-8 weekend tournaments
  • Play on an in-house RBI league team (non-negotiable)
  • Compete in MLB RBI Regional Tournament and MLB RBI World Series
